OUR HISTORY
Comptek Structural Composites, Inc. (Comptek) was founded in 1998 by professional structural engineer Jim Lockwood, P.E. and offers innovative solutions to engineers and contractors focused on maintaining our nation’s infrastructure. The company develops and manufactures state-of-the-art composite reinforcements and structural systems for improving the structural integrity of buildings, bridges, and oil and gas pipelines.
Comptek started an affiliate company, Aero Solutions LLC, in 2003 with a focus on strengthening telecommunication towers. Today, Aero Solutions is providing engineering, fabrication and installation services in 35 US states and Bermuda from its Colorado, Pennsylvania and Texas operation centers. Aero Solutions is majority owned by Comptek and utilizes Bolder Wrap on numerous major communication towerny projects and applications in steel and concrete. Aero was awarded a Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award in 2008, recognized as the 6th fastest growing company in the state of Colorado over the past 5 years.
Comptek brought its industry experience to the retail market in 2004 with the introduction of Bolder Bond and Bolder Wrap. These ingenious urethane products were developed by Comptek with the material science expertise of Larry Cercone, PhD., the company’s Vice President of Technology.
